I was contemplating E&W strategy the other day (as I find myself doing a lot recently) and I came up with this little dandy:

Imagine a Soviet bomber and nuke stationed in Sinkiang, taking off to drop the bomb on Saudia Arabia.
Oops! Snake eyes on the complication roll.

The Soviets have successfully destroyed 1 Chinese infantry with a nuke, while causing both neutral alliances to join NATO

That would suck!

Granted, this is just a hypothetical scenario, and I've never had this play out in a game (yet).


What are some other people's real-game or imagined worst-case scenarios and monumental screw-ups (ignoring simple cases of bad combat dice)?
